This drawing was inspired by a wonderful piece of writing by Anna Peters ([link])
“I tried to forget but you grew roots around my ribcage and sprouted flowers just below my collarbones. all day I pluck their petals but I have not yet ascertained whether you love me or not”
I used a 0.1 drawing pen for this one, again loving the effect of simple lineworks. The actual main reason for this design was for a threadless challenge but my design has yet to be approved. So, fingers crossed (x Hopefully it gets through.
The imagery in your drawing has captured Anna's poem beautifully. I like the way you've added your own feeling and prospective to her words. I find it interesting how the roots could also resemble blood vessels. This relly shows you how much more interconnected the flowers and roots are with the narrator's body.
